NeoOffice.org welcomes OpenOffice.org to the Mac OS X community

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SANTA CLARA, CA—13 October 2008— NeoOffice.org congratulates Oracle Inc. on their release of OpenOffice.org 3.0. This is OpenOffice.org's first native Mac OS X release and we welcome them to the Mac OS X community. We applaud Oracle for making the effort to add another office suite alternative for Mac OS X users.

OpenOffice.org 3.0 for Mac OS X can be downloaded for free. While NeoOffice 3.0 is not yet available, NeoOffice 2.2.5 is one of the most stable office suites for Mac OS X and can also be downloaded for free. We have created an office suite that is adapted to the unique needs of Mac users by taking the features in Oracle's OpenOffice.org office suite and adding improvements such as:

• Extremely stable Mac OS X code that has been in daily use by hundreds of thousands of NeoOffice users since 2003
• Significant speed improvements to the OpenOffice.org code
• Dozens of features requested by our users designed specifically for the Mac

Stability is one of our most important goals. We wait until after a new OpenOffice.org version has been officially released before we integrate the latest OpenOffice.org version's new features with NeoOffice's thoroughly tested and optimized Mac OS X code. Because of this, the new features added in OpenOffice.org 3.0 are not in NeoOffice 2.2.5 but those new features will included in NeoOffice 3.0 Early Access which is planned to be released on 15 November 2008.
